Outstanding ingredients make a real difference. ‘Maxilact’ lactase manufactured by DSM (Holland) and distributed by the Carbon Group (Ringaskiddy, Cork), is the global standard for creating premium lactose – free milk products. The result of extensive experience and on-going investment - Maxilact enables you to develop high value, clean tasting, low lactose products, thus meeting the needs of lactose sensitive consumers.
The enzymatic conversion of lactose into glucose and galactose adds a sweet taste to milk products. This allows you to reduce the amount of added sugar or artificial sweeteners in your products and make a ‘no added sugar’ claim.
