Christmas Charity Donations 2021

Dec 10, 2021

Instead of Christmas gifts this year Carbon Group has made donations on your behalf to three very worthwhile charities.

This year, we’ve chosen to celebrate Christmas by donating to three charities that are meaningful to our team members here at Carbon Group:

Enable Ireland provides services to children and adults with disabilities (and their families) in fifteen counties across the country. Covering childhood to adulthood, Enable Ireland’s expert teams work in partnership with those who use their services to achieve maximum independence, choice and inclusion in their communities.

Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland focuses on training and placing highly skilled autism assistance dogs.

Assistance dogs are trained to the highest international standards to provide safety to children in public places. Assistance dogs enable children to go out and about safely and reduce anxiety, not just for the child but for the whole family. They can be a lifeline for children and their families when a child is suffering from the sometimes debilitating symptoms of autism.

In addition to training and placing assistance dogs, the charity also provides companion dogs – companion dogs can be a welcome friend to someone who struggles to form relationships with their peers and can help reduce anxiety for children and adults with autism.

In Northern Ireland, we’re supporting the Superstars Club. Superstars is a charity that provides valuable social and leisure opportunities for people with learning disabilities.

Activities offered include sport, art, cooking, gardening, theatre and drama. Furthermore, ’The Cafe at Superstars’ has been developed to provide training opportunities for twenty adults with learning difficulties – trainees are actively involved in planning, food preparation, table service and clean up.

Based at 13 Oldtown Street, Cookstown, Co. Tyrone, membership comes from throughout the Mid-Ulster area.
