Carbon Group was proud to be one of the sponsors of the recent Fort 2 Fort cycle, held over the October Bank Holiday weekend. Taking place in Cork Harbour and following a route that passes our HQ premises in Ringaskiddy, it seemed fitting that we support the popular event which raised funds for the Mercy University Hospital Foundation, four Cork City and County Lions Clubs, and Camden Fort Meagher Restoration.

Our MD here at Carbon Group, Brian Walsh, took part in the charity cycle. Passing by Carbon Group HQ, he had the opportunity to stop for a quick photo outside our main entrance, along with ‘Fort 2 Fort’ participants Dr Judy Dwyer (UCC) and Aileen Hurley (Cork County Council).

Fort 2 Fort 2022 was the 11th event of its type run by the organisers. Cyclists had the choice of four different routes and, as they followed the route, participants enjoyed incredible views of Cork Harbour, the second largest natural harbour in the world.
